Submit to one of the Press’ Series

The West Point Press is currently seeking submissions for its various book series. At the moment, the Press has three different series:

  1. Leaders from the Long Gray Line. The series aims to highlight some of the exceptional men and women comprising the Long Gray Line whose examples, decisions, dilemmas, failures, and successes provide enduring lessons on leadership. The Press is especially interested in proposals that feature those whose exploits and accomplishments have not received the attention they deserve.

  2. Impactful Army Leaders. Books in the Impactful US Army Leaders series will focus on the diverse group of men and women who have significantly shaped the United States Army - from its inception through today. The impact of these leaders can take many forms, but all will have shaped the Army in some meaningful way. While any figure who has helped shape the US Army can be part of the series, priority will be given to those works that highlight lesser-known leaders - those soldiers and civilians who have not received widespread recognition for their efforts, or those works that challenge more conventional narratives.

  3. Exploration of Counterterrorism Studies. The series will cover a wide range of compelling subjects, examining the historical, political, social, and psychological aspects of terrorism. Books in the series may explore the origins and evolution of terrorism, the motivations and recruitment strategies employed by terrorist organizations, the impact of globalization on the spread of terrorist networks, the interplay between terrorism and organized crime, or even the ethical dilemmas and legal frameworks surrounding counterterrorism. Books in the series could also delve into the role of technological advancements in detecting and preventing terrorist activities, examining the use of big data analytics, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity in the fight against terrorism.
